Genuine Pins › Terms of Sale
The rulesTerms of Sale
You pay in crypto, you get a Steam product code, you redeem it yourself. These are the rules around that, written the way we would say them in a message. If a line here is unclear, ask and we will say it another way.
Who you are dealing with
Genuine Pins is run by one person, trading as swax. Same handle, same person since 2022, with a public rep profile and a Steam collection you can check before you send anything.
There is no support department behind this. The person who answers your message is the person who supplies the code.
Three ways to reach us, all of them the same person: email at [email protected], a Discord direct message, or Steam.
What you are buying
Every item in the catalogue is a Steam product code for a CS:GO and CS2 collectible pin in Genuine quality. You redeem it yourself in the Steam client under Games, then Activate a Product on Steam, and the pin appears in your Steam inventory.
Nothing is traded. No trade offer arrives, no trade hold applies, and the pin is bound to your Steam account from the moment you redeem it.
That last point runs through everything below. A redeemed code cannot be un-redeemed, by you or by us.
Prices and what you actually send
Prices are shown in USD and stay fixed while you browse. When you create an order, the USD total is converted into the coin you picked at the market rate at that moment, and that is the amount your order page asks for.
Crypto prices move. If the rate drifts far enough between creating the order and your payment landing, we recalculate and tell you where you stand. You are never quietly left short.
Network fees are yours. Send the amount shown, not that amount minus the fee your wallet takes out of it.
When an order becomes binding
A cart is not an order. The order exists once you go through checkout and your order page appears with a payment address on it.
The sale is complete when the code for that order is shown on your order page.
An order nobody pays for simply lapses and costs neither side anything.
Payment
Crypto only, handled by a crypto payment processor. Pick a coin at checkout and send the exact amount to the address shown for that order, on the network stated.
No card number ever reaches us, because no card is involved. There is no account to create and no password to lose.
Crypto payments cannot be reversed by anyone, in either direction. That is what makes delivery this fast, and it is also why the rest of this page is written as precisely as it is.
Delivery
Codes appear on your own order page. That is the link you get at checkout, and it is in your inbox as well if you left an email.
Most orders are done within minutes of the payment confirming on-chain.
Some orders are picked out for an extra verification step before the code goes out. When that happens your order page says so. Those are settled the same day and never later than 24 hours after the payment confirmed.
Timings, evidence and deadlines in full are on the Delivery and Refunds page, which is part of these terms.
Your right to cancel
Digital codes work the same way everywhere: the right to cancel ends where delivery begins.
By placing an order you are asking us to supply the code straight away rather than after a cooling-off period, and you accept that the order is fulfilled once the code has been shown on your order page. That moment is the line. Not payment, not redemption.
The reason is plain: a code you have read can be redeemed by anyone who has read it, and we have no way to check afterwards whether it still exists.
Before that line you can cancel any order for any reason and get the full amount back. How that is paid out is on the Delivery and Refunds page.
If a code does not work
It is rare and it is not your problem to absorb. You get a replacement code for the same pin wherever one can be supplied, and your money back in full if one cannot.
What we need from you, how long you have to tell us, and how long we have to settle it are set out on the Delivery and Refunds page.
One code, one activation
A code works once. Once redeemed it is spent, and the pin belongs to the account that redeemed it.
So redeem it into the account you actually want it on, and treat the code like cash until you do. Anyone who reads it can redeem it. Keep it out of screenshots, streams and group chats.
We never need your code back and we will never ask you to send it to anyone. If a message ever asks you to hand a code over to settle a problem, it is not from us.
Who can order
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, which is 18 in most places, and the money you pay with needs to be yours.
We can decline an order before a code is released. If we do, the full amount goes back to you, and we say why.
What we keep about you
One contact handle, the pins you ordered, and the IP address the order came from. The last one is there so a flood of fake orders can be told apart from real customers.
All of it is deleted with the order after 180 days. No account, no password, no marketing list. An alias email is fine as long as you can actually read it.
Payments settle on their own blockchains, the same as any crypto payment anywhere. We never see a card number because there are no cards involved. The full detail is on the Privacy page.
Things that are not in our hands
Steam belongs to Valve. If the code itself is rejected, that is ours to put right and the Delivery and Refunds page says how.
If your account is locked, restricted or otherwise barred from activating a product, that is between you and Valve. We cannot open an account, lift a restriction or argue your case, and a code that works is not a code we can take back.
Blockchains are the same story. The clock on your payment is the network’s.
Genuine Pins is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike and CS:GO are trademarks of Valve Corporation. Everything sold here is an in-game digital collectible.
If we disagree
Message us and quote your order ID. Nearly everything that has ever gone wrong here was settled in one conversation on the same day.
If it is not, here is the path, in order.
- Write to [email protected] with the order ID and what you want to happen. First answer usually the same day, at the outside within 48 hours.
- No answer in 72 hours, try the other channel. Email, Discord and Steam do not share an inbox, and the fastest fix for silence is a second door.
- Still apart after that, say so in writing and we will send a written position on your case within 14 days, in plain words, with what we will and will not do.
You deal with us directly, with nobody sitting in between. The public rep profiles exist so that you do not have to take that on trust.
Changes to these terms
These change when the way we work changes, and not otherwise. The version that applies to your order is the one that was on this page the day you placed it.
